Pardes Hannah’s Kabbalat Shabbat service uses the Kohenet Siddur. This siddur uses feminine language and we will be using that language throughout the service, along with masculine and neutral language, to honor the Shekinah in all her manifestations. For those who don’t have the siddur, we will share the text of the prayers, chants, and songs in the chat. Don’t worry if you don’t know the Hebrew words – they will become more familiar over time.

This week’s Torah portion is Parashat Tzav, Leviticus 6:1-8:36. It contains many details about the sacrifices to be performed in the temple and the ordination of Aaron and his sons as priests.

“A perpetual fire shall be kept burning on the altar, not to go out.”  — Leviticus 6:6

How do you keep the fires burning on your altars, both physical and metaphysical?
