Last Chance to Register for Gardening in the Soil of the Heart with Rabbi Shefa Gold

Preregistration is required to attend the free virtual retreat with Rabbi Shefa Gold, “Gardening in the Soil of the Heart.” The retreat takes place over four Sundays, August 23, August 30, September 6, and September 13 from 11:15 AM – 1 PM ET. There is no cost to participate due to a generous grant to Pardes Hannah from ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal, although donations are welcome.

As most of you know I have studied and continued to work with Rabbi Shefa as a graduate of her Kol Zimrah Chant Leadership Training for 10 years. I am continually inspired and elevated by practicing her chant process. Working with short verses of scripture you are simultaneously doing text study, prayer, kavannah setting, meditation, and deep personal spiritual exploration. For those of you worried about your voice or musicality, chanting on zoom while muted is the ideal environment to be liberated from self consciousness and inhibitions. When I spoke with Shefa she emphasized that she was offering this retreat so that people would bond and build community through a shared spiritual journey. She will be engaging us with the qualities of Gratefulness, Courage, Compassion and Joy. Make this  part of your soul’s Elul preparation for the High Holidays.
