Rosh Chodesh Circle Monday, June 22, 2020, at 7:00 PM

We invite you to join our virtual Rosh Chodesh Circle gathering on Monday, June 22, 2020, at 7:00 PM as we honor the new moon of the Hebrew month of Tammuz, the month that urges us to see reality as it is, to look beneath the surface and understand the essence of what is real.

During these tumultuous times, it is important to come together as we struggle to make sense of the dissolution of the structures and civic agreements that have guided our actions before Covid-19, before George Floyd, before the economic meltdown. In our New Moon Circle, we will meditate and chant, move to Megan’s powerful and evocative movements and share what we are seeing more clearly.

Please feel free to bring a poem, a piece of scripture, a blessing, an insight to share with the group as we explore what we are seeing that enables us to have a new awareness of ourselves and the world around us, a world where racial injustice has been so clearly exposed. In this month of emotional intensity, we can allow ourselves to weep for the exile of the Shechinah.  Rabbi Jill Hammer notes that this is the month that the Divine Feminine, the Shechinah wanders the world and “experiences pain for love of her creatures.”

Please join us as we support each other with love, chant, movement, and blessings that flow through us and around us, awakening us to new possibilities and hope for the future.

Blessings,
Lucinda
