This Shabbat we read from Parashat Terumah, literally an offering of uplift! You’re invited to join us as we seek that spiritual uplift and help lift each other up in celebration.
There will be davenen (heartfelt prayer), chanting, meditation, sharing, and of course, Torah learning. In the Torah portion, the parashah, we read about the freewill offerings of the community, as they contribute materials and resources–according to the prompting of their hearts–for the building of the Mishkan, that portable Sanctuary. We ask how do we build community, a space where we can be safe and brave and real and in holy connection to each other and to the Source? Tomorrow we have the opportunity, the gift, to co-create a small Sanctuary in time, as it is written: ועשו לי מקדש ושכנתי בתוכם. “Make for me a Sanctuary and I (the divine presence) will dwell”—not in it–“but among them,” among the people. In the holy Between! Are you game?
May we co-create something like that even on Zoom!! A virtual Kiddush–Rumi would understand—follows at 12:30 p.m.

Hoping to see (be with, Zoom with) you, in according with the promptings of your hearts! I hope that you and your dear ones are all safe and okay in this long winter of COVID. Spring, inshallah, will surely come…
May this Shabbat be a time for joy, of sparkling and rest that renews. A Gitn Shabbes, a sweet Shabbat, Shabbat Shalom to all,
