This evening (April 30, 2021 at 6:30 PM), we will be gathering for a special Kabbalat Shabbat. It will be a chance to chant, davven, connect, and send blessings to newly minted Dr. Ari Sussman, who just received his doctorate in music composition, and is planning to leave Ann Arbor very soon. Ari, Gabrielle, and Reb Elliot will co-lead.
Also, this Sunday (May 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM), we conclude our nearly two year study of the Zohar with a special session, drawing on the marvelous “Sava de-Mishpatim” section, that focuses on how we take leave of loved ones, even for a while. The learning will be dedicated to the memory and the soul uplift of my beloved mother-in-law, Doris Doctor, Linda Jo Doctor’s mother, who passed away yesterday.
Bring a celebratory beverage of your choice (you know, shnapps, prosecco, kombucha, young coconut water, beet kvass, etc.) so we can make a le-chayyim.
Hope to see many of you then and there.
