Zohar, Study and Practice this Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 10 AM.

Hoping you are experiencing some of the reshimu, the afterglow of Hanukkah. May some of that light accompany us as we enter into this Shabbat!

A reminder that our monthly study of the Zohar continues this Sunday morning, at a slightly earlier time, from 10 a.m. to noon on Zoom. We will deepen our study of the Sabbath in Zoharic Kabbalah, a topic dear to my heart. We will focus on the motif of transformation in the realms of Time, Divinity, and Person…and focus on a few choice texts.

If you wish to dig into the reading in advance, contact me for a chapter from my book, The Sabbath in the Classical Kabbalah, and the other texts and PowerPoints we will use. You are invited to skim the beginning pages of the chapter, and then to focus on pp. 78-101 and 120-137. It’s an academic book, and at the same time, I hope, bristling with spiritual energy that we will draw out together.

Stay tuned for a possible update to the Pardea Hannah community email list on Sunday morning.

Blessings to all and here’s to a sweet and restful Shabbat!
